Say which iPhone or iPad and which iOS version you are on, and what you were doing when it went wrong. A word that seems wrong is worth a note too: tell us the level and the clue.
Usual questions
How do I move the letters?
Drag a tile left or right and the others make room. You can also tap one tile, then another, to swap them. The word is checked after every move, so there is no button to press.
What do Hint and Shuffle do?
Hint puts one correct letter into its place and locks it there, shown in gold. Shuffle mixes the letters that are not locked. Each hint lowers that word's gold and can cost a star at the end of the level.
I've run out of hints
When the count reaches zero, the next one costs gold. If you are short of gold too, you can watch a short ad for one. The store also sells packs of hints and shuffles for gold, and the daily rewards hand some out for free.
How are stars counted?
Finish a level without hints for three stars, with one or two hints for two, and with more for one. You can replay any level you have reached to improve its stars.
How does the daily challenge work?
Everyone gets the same five-letter word each day and six guesses. Green means the letter is in the right place, orange that it is in the word but somewhere else, grey that it is not in the word. A new word arrives at midnight.
I missed a day of rewards
The daily reward calendar starts again from day one when a day is skipped. Playing the daily challenge on consecutive days builds a separate streak.
The ad button is missing or does nothing
Ads need a network connection and are not always available. If you are offline, or no ad has loaded yet, try again in a little while.
How do I start over?
Settings → Manage My Data resets your levels, stars, gold, items and statistics on this device. It cannot be undone.
There is no sound, or nothing vibrates
The game follows your ringer switch, so check that it is not on silent. Settings in the game has Music, Sound Effects and Vibration.
