Harfuno · updated 23 October 2026
The short version
madeit games does not collect anything about you. There are no accounts, no analytics of our own, and no server of ours behind the game. Your progress lives on your phone.
The one part run by someone else is advertising: Harfuno is free because it shows ads from Google AdMob. The rest of this page says exactly when those ads appear and what Google may see.
What stays on your phone
The levels you have finished and their stars, your gold, hints and shuffles, today’s daily challenge guesses and your streak, the daily reward calendar, your statistics — words solved, fastest solve, play time, favourite letters, days played — and every setting are stored on the device itself. They are not uploaded to us, and deleting the app deletes them.
Settings → Manage My Data resets all of it on demand.
Ads, from Google AdMob
Ads appear in two ways:
- After each levelA full-screen ad may show when you move on to the next level.
- When you choose to watch oneFor free gold in the store, to double a level's reward, or for a hint or shuffle when you have run out. These play only when you tap for them.
When an ad loads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the game contacts Google to fetch it, show it and count that it was seen. Google may receive your IP address and the approximate location it implies, information about your device and the app, how you interacted with the ad, and diagnostic data. Google handles this under its own policies: how Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game first shows Google’s consent form, where you can agree, refuse, or choose purpose by purpose how your data may be used for ads. If you refuse, ads are still shown but are not personalised. You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy Choices.
The first time you open the game, iOS asks whether it may track you across other companies’ apps and websites. Only if you allow it does Google receive your device’s advertising identifier, which lets it show ads closer to your interests. If you ask the app not to track — or change your mind later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking — the ads still work, they are just less tailored. madeit games never receives any of this; we see only totals, such as how many ads were shown in a day.
Notifications
If you switch on Notifications in the game’s settings, iOS asks for permission first. Any reminder is scheduled on your phone itself; nothing about you is sent anywhere to make it work.
What is never collected
- Your name, email or an accountThere is no sign-up and no account of ours to have.
- How you playNo analytics. Your statistics are worked out on your phone and stay there; we do not know which words you solved or that you opened the game at all.
- Contacts, photos, location, microphone or health dataThe game never asks for any of it.
- Payment detailsThere is nothing to buy in the game today. If purchases arrive, they will go through Apple, and this page will change before they do.
What Apple sees, which is not us
Downloading the game is a transaction between you and Apple, governed by Apple’s privacy policy rather than this one. If you have turned on sharing analytics with developers, Apple may show us anonymous, aggregated figures — installs and crash counts — in App Store Connect. We never receive anything that identifies a person.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and Turkey’s KVKK you may ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. We hold nothing ourselves, so there is nothing for us to produce, correct or erase; for what Google and Apple hold, their own tools and the policies linked above apply. If you have a question, write to hello@madeit.ist and you will get an answer.
Children
Harfuno is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information about them. It has no chat and no way to contact other players.
Changes
If the game ever starts sending something new, this page changes before the version that sends it ships, and the date at the top moves.
